This year, for the the Annual Bob Aamodt, Inc. Vertical Challenge at Snowbasin Ski Resort (home of the 2002 Winter Olympics downhill competition), we will build on the success of last year’s event to make it the best one ever!
Once again teams we be able to ski the entire mountain.
Last year the Vertical Challenge used a custom stamp or punch each time a participant gets on a ski lift.
When all runs are skied, a team of four will have skied over 100,000 vertical feet.
For example, the Strawberry Gondola at Snowbasin has a vertical measurement of 2,472 feet.
At the end of the day, each participant turned in their cards and the results were tallied on-site by a certified public accounting firm.
In 2011 the four-person winning team had accumulated more than 186,000 vertical feet in six hours.
