This year Snowbasin has allowed us to use the Day Lodge. If you’re familiar with Snowbasin, it’s the lodge that acted as the resort’s main structure for several years. Since the incredible growth of Snowbasin in the past two decades, the Day Lodge is no longer called upon to fulfill the needs of the world-class resort.

Until now! We are so happy to announce the use of the Day Lodge (or as it will be called on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, Bob’s Vertical Challenge Chalet!) for our event! No food will be served at the lodge–you’ll need to eat at other locations at the resort–but you’ll have space to stretch your legs and even take a break from the slopes. But since that’s probably not going to happen because everyone will want to ski as much as they possibly can, it’s nice to have the option…

Please join us next week for Utah’s best winter charity event. It’s a day of good fun, good friends, good food and all for a great cause!

One thing that has helped make Bob’s Vertical Challenge the best winter charity event in Utah is the amazing sponsors that have stepped up year after year. For the Vertical Challenge’s 5th anniversary we can once again boast the best sponsors in the entire state!

If you want to join us, but are lacking a full team, don’t worry! Just let us know either beforehand, or the morning of. Remember, everything we do at the Vertical Challenge is for the Scouts. Just like the past four years all proceeds to to benefit Scoutreach, the charity arm of the Boy Scouts of America. Scoutreach helps provide scouting experiences for kids who might otherwise go without. It’s a great cause!

Even though the event is called the Vertical Challenge, winning isn’t the most important thing. If you want to go all-out and scream down the double black diamond trails all day long–go for it! Every team will be tracked in real time using GPS units to make sure the team that skis the most will be recognized. But if you want to just kick back, ski and spend a great day at one of the country’s premier ski resorts, go right ahead. The Vertical Challenge is all about having a great time! If you’ve attended any of the previous Bob’s Vertical Challenges you’ve seen the Le Mans Start! No longer do you have to go to a European race track to experience the trill that is a Le Mans Start. This year’s Challenge is no different!

Just get four of your friends/co-workers/family members and form a team.
